The Witcher: Blood Origin Season 1 Trailer

Whether a Witcher: Blood Origin season 2 is possible after the events of the first season is a complicated matter for the Netflix franchise. With The Witcher focusing on Geralt and Ciri's adventures in the fantasy world of The Continent, there were many mysteries that the flagship show could never answer. Questions like what happened in the Conjunction of the Spheres, what the origin of the Witchers was, and how the world of The Witcher came to be as it is in the portion of the timeline that makes up the main series were prevalent among audiences, which seemingly led to the creation of the Witcher: Blood Origin prequel show.

The Witcher: Blood Origin Season 1 Trailer

The latest trailer for The Witcher: Blood Origin was revealed at CCXP in Brazil and gives us a great look at the "origin of the Witcher saga," and Jaskier surprisingly appears right at the end in front of Minnie Driver's Seanchaí.

While the arrival of Jaskier is great news for fans of The Witcher, it's also a bit of an interesting development as this new series takes place 1,200 years before the original series. The trailer talks about monoliths that are causing tears between worlds, so they could be responsible for Jaskier's role in the story.

All done with those two? Grand, there's even more information for you to check out in our hub on The Witcher: Blood Origin. Below, we've compiled everything worth knowing about the Netflix show, including its cast, plot details, trailers, how it impacts The Witcher season 3, and more.

Every month, licenses expire and movie and TV show titles are removed from streaming services like Netflix. In some cases, Netflix has even removed (and continues to remove) its own original series to make way for new content and to keep the interface fresh and up to date. Already in March, for example, movies like Air Force One, Shutter Island, Cake, and Scream 4 have been removed, as have shows like Borderliner (a Netflix original) and all three seasons of Sundance series Hap and Leonard.

Set 1200 years before the events of The Witcher, the trailer transports us back in time to offer a glimpse at an untold story from the Continent: the creation of the first prototype Witcher. The clips show sweeping landscapes, magic-wielding warriors, and lots of bloody combat, with Yeoh's character Scían declaring aloud: "All beginnings, all ends." 041b061a72
