The Nederland Downtown Development Association, created in February 2019, has 6 member businesses, 10 owners and 2 partners, and has $460,000 in assets. The current business model involves minimal membership dues and attracts a general wide base of membership, because the NDDAs operations are run on a volunteer basis. NDDA has no association fee, no monthly membership fee, no yearly membership fee, no super membership fee, no assessments, no advertising, no charity solicitation, no company dues.
NDDA funding was originally designated for the Town Square Project to make the pedestrian/bicycle area more appealing and pedestrian friendly. The funding was split between the three bonds, with $350,000 budgeted for the project in the 2022 budget.
In the spirit of the County Executives message to the public in July 2019, the NDDA is dedicating this release to the legacy of Officer Robert Blake and the work they did as First Responders to help the community.
Editors Note: The NDDA is located at the Municipal Complex, 2800 University Avenue in Fort Collins. A number of groups, local businesses, and organizations have lent their support for the project.
